  Based on my personal evaluation of the academic website using the rubric below I would say that this is a pretty good website . The goal of the website is clearly identified. Even though the site may seem a bit distracting for students suffering with ADHD or even autism due to colour choices, for the average child they will love the elements of the cartoons and may be more interested in learning due to the level of interactivity, fun and games. 

    The interface of the website is very user friendly with both written and video step-by-step instructions for student and teacher alike. 

    The design and organisation of the website is great. It's free from errors, loads quickly and all elements are easy to read, understand and maneuver. 

    The website is easy to navigate. The site provides you with a tutorial on how to navigate and use the various application on the website before use.  It provides you with a site map and search engine to make sourcing materials quick and easy. 

     The website provides all the necessary information to all visitors which includes 30 day free trials of the website, sample videos, subscription pages, website updates, etc. 

    The content provided on the site is of great quality and sufficient to suit the needs however some information may not be globally relevant and it provides limited resources in language arts. 

    The site contains some dates but the drawback to this is that for individual teacher accounts with restricted access this information may be missing after posting assignments for students to complete.

    The site provides a wide variety of links and in my opinion caters somewhat to the needs of some children who are differently abled.

  1. This thorough evaluation will easily influence my decision to give Brain-pop a try. I am especially pleased that the user-friendliness, design and navigability are excellent which will allow this website to be manipulated by all ages.
